Fresh Fabrics

At long last - Snow Dyes!!!  This is the driest winter we have experienced in Wisconsin for many years.  Finally last week we received a snow worthy of snow dyeing.  If you are addicted to this technique like me..this snow was a long time coming.  You can see 4 of the new snow dyes in the center to upper left hand corner of this photo collage.

When I was at retreat a few weeks ago I spent an entire day editing photos of new hand dyes for my Dye Candy Shop. Sometimes it seems like the photographing, cropping, color touch ups and listing the of fabric take almost as long as the actual dyeing process. I am so pleased to have the job done.

This weekend I am getting together with the ladies from the Richland Center quilt guild.  We will be making purses to sell as a fundraiser for "GRACE" a local charity that assists patients with cancer.  I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone and sharing different purse making ideas.

Sending you warm wishes from southwestern Wisconsin where the temperature is 1 degree F at 5:30 pm.  BRRR   - Chris

we FINALLY got snow today (we usually get snow in November, sometimes October) - but not enough for snow dyeing yet. Yours are beautiful!

Beautiful fabric!
I can't believe you had to wait this long for snow! We have had 46" of snowfall already this year. But I'm also dealing with crazy cold temperatures so the -30'c has me off snow dyeing...for this week anyway ;)

If I was to really ENJOY the snow (and cold), I'd want to be in your front (or back) yard DYEING with you! Or at least... watching! LOL
SO Gorgeous!

Wish we had some snow here in Australia - unfortunately not even in the winter..... This week we've had temps in the high 30'sC - that is over 100F - great for sun-printing if one wants to go outside...lol

Love the idea of snow dyeing -- we don't have any snow, either -- however, I hear through the weather-vine that it's on its way. Yuk.

Beautiful fabric! Would love to try snow dyeing at some stage, but perhaps not quite so easy to access here in Australia~
